Strange School Artists Opening Reception a Success with Surprise Visit from Grand Ledge Police
Updated: May 23, 2019
Last Saturday, May 11th, we had a great time in our Gallery!
The students from Strange School held an opening reception for their art exhibit, to be displayed during the month of May. (Below, picture of Strange School and art instructor, Tam Wolfe, organizing the exhibit.)
What a terrific bunch of kids! And their art is fantastic!! Animals – people -windowpanes paintings – sculptures …
There was a great turnout, with many parents in attendance. How supportive they are of their children and their activities!
And a big thank you to the Grand Ledge Police Department. Two of their officers were able to stop by and say hi to the kids – Officer Ringold and Officer Black. They had some responsibilities to attend to and didn’t hang around long, so unfortunately, we weren’t able to get a picture of them. But we sure did appreciate the time they took to visit with the young artists!
UPDATE: We were able to locate a picture of the GLPD's visit - dealing with some tough characters!

If you haven’t seen the exhibit of the Strange School artists, check it out this Saturday when you bring the kids down for Victorian Days craft activities at Ledge Craft Lane (https://www.ledgecraftlane.com/kids-activities).

Otherwise, mark your calendar for a day in May when you can stop in, see their artwork and sign their guestbook. You won’t want to miss it!
