On your way to Color Cruise this weekend, stop into the Gallery at Ledge Craft Lane (LCL) and see the works of this talented local artist.
Tina Martzke is our Artist of the Month for October!
If you know Tina, you know that she has demonstrated her artistic abilities for a number of years in the Grand Ledge community. Tina says her interest in the arts goes back to her childhood …
“Making art has, from a young child, been a part of who I am. For as long as I can remember 'seeing' details in nature and the world around us has been natural for me.
I painted as a child and took art classes in high school as well as in college. I taught art in the public schools and have taught several other classes along the way, both for children and adults.
I work in many mediums from clay and sculpture to painting. I use watercolor, water-based oils, acrylic, gauche, and alcohol ink, both realistic and abstract. I especially enjoy exploring with color.” Tina also does calligraphy professionally.
Tina has an Alcohol Ink Workshop this coming Monday, October 14th from 9:30-noon at LCL. Alcohol ink is an fun medium with which to work – striking colors and endless opportunities for experimentation and creativity.
Give Tina a call today to sign up - 517-627-2686 (h) or 517-614-4204 (c).
In the meantime, come down to LCL to see her creative art!
