Deborah is originally from a small town called Richfield Springs, nestled in the leather-stocking region of upstate New York. She moved to Michigan in 1986 and lives in DeWitt.
As a child, Deborah would draw a lot. In middle school and high school, she couldn’t wait to get into the art classes. Some of her pieces were chosen to be in the annual art shows. Although schooled in oils, Deborah’s medium of choice is acrylics.
As for her art, Deborah says “because I have lived in two beautiful states that have breathtaking views, I have grown fond of painting landscapes. [However] I enjoy breaking out and trying something new such as wildlife and the human form.”
Deborah has been a member of the Mid-Michigan Art Guild for the past six years. She states that the guild has helped her grow as an artist through informative speakers, the opinions of fellow artists and offering the opportunity to participate in juried shows.
Deborah is always thrilled when she has the opportunity to display her work. She hopes that you enjoy her art as much as she enjoys creating it.
